Man Dies After Assault in Northeast

Around 2:30 a.m.Tuesday morning, a man was attacked and stabbed multiple times in the 2700 block of 10th Street NE.
At 4:47 a.m. Metropolitan police confirmed that the man had died of blunt force trauma at an area hospital.
Police are currently questioning two people about the fatal assault.
The identity of the decedent in this case is being withheld pending the proper notification of the next-of-kin.
This case remains under investigation by detectives from the department's Homicide and Sexual Offenses Branch. Anyone with information about this case is asked to call police at (202) 727-9099 or 1-888-919-2746.
