Stranded Motorist Struck and Killed on I-95

Maryland state police say a Laurel man was killed about 2:30 a.m. Sunday when his car broke down on Interstate 95 and he stepped into traffic to flag down a passing car.
Police say 23-year-old Francisco Toledo was struck in the middle northbound lane, near the Patuxent River Bridge in Savage. He died at the scene. According to police, the driver of the car was not injured and stopped right away.
Police continue to investigate the accident.
