WASHINGTON - Metropolitan Police say they've arrested a suspect in the murder of a woman who was strangled to death more than a decade ago.
Police have charged 57-year-old Frederick Edward Morton with first degree murder in the homicide of Sharon Moskowitz. She was strangled to death in her home in the 1900 block of Biltmore Street NW on January 21, 1997.
Morton was transported from the federal correction center at Allenwood, Pennsylvania to the District on Monday.
