WASHINGTON - The Lincoln Memorial is expanding beyond its marble temple for those who may not get to visit the site on the National Mall.

On Thursday, the National Park Service launched a new, interactive Web site with videos, panoramas and oral histories from park rangers who have worked at the memorial for decades. The announcement comes on the 146th anniversary of Abraham Lincoln's Gettysburg Address.

In one video, ranger Gilbert Lyons recalls growing up in a segregated Washington and says he was drawn to the memorial's message that "all men are created equal." He watched Martin Luther King Jr. speak at the memorial and has worked there for many years.

The nonprofit Trust for the National Mall is raising money to build similar online sites for other memorials in Washington.
