Car with 5 People Inside Drives into C & O Canal

A D.C. fire spokesperson says five people were in a BMW that was driving on the C & O Canal towpath, which is not a legal roadway, when the car rolled down an embankment and into the water.
Two people had to be rescued from the shallow water.
D.C. fire officials say three people have been transported to area hospitals with non-life threatening injuries.
U.S. Park Police and Metropolitan Police are investigating.
