(Sports Network) - Milwaukee Bucks forward Joe Alexander will be sidelined for the next 8-to-12 weeks after re-aggravating an existing hamstring injury.
Alexander experienced the setback during rehabilitation exercises this week and will be re-evaluated on a regular basis. The 22-year-old originally suffered the injury during voluntary drills prior to the start of training camp on September 17.
The West Virginia product averaged 4.7 points and 1.9 rebounds over 59 games in his rookie season. In five games during the Bucks' summer league schedule, Alexander posted 16.6 points, 6.4 rebounds and 1.4 assists per game.
