TYSONS CORNER, Va. - Investigators have released surveillance video of two robbers who stole a tray of diamond jewelry from the Movado store in Tysons Corner on Monday.
The crime plays out in under a minute on the tape. The two men walked into the store about 8:20 p.m., displayed a crowbar, pushed store employees out of the way and smashed a glass case, police said.
The men grab fistfuls of diamond jewelry, stuff it into a bag, and flee, escaping through the mall, police said.
"That's just a big shock, like I didn't expect to -- especially at this mall -- like they just got an entire mall and broke in and just took off with jewlery," said shopper Ashley Spearman. "That's kind of scary."
Both of the robbers were described as black, 5'11", and 230 pounds. They wore blue, hooded jackets and ball caps. One suspect wore tan boots and the other had a mustache, police said.
One store employee was treated on scene for non life-threatening injuries, police said.
