In Manassas, a McCain supporter told the News & Messenger that someone slashed his yard sign and left a note. It read: 'You and your racist views have been liberated. You are welcome.'

Kitty Sears had a different problem. She says she woke up to find two Obama signs in her yard. When she went to bed, they were McCain signs.
"You know it seems it was a planned thing to have two signs and take our two," said the McCain supporter. "I got another sign and I'm hesitant to stick it back out there, actually, because I bet it will be replaced or bring attention, cause problems -- people are entitled to their own opinion."
In Fauquier County, election officials say more than 100 signs -- McCain and Obama -- were stolen just this past weekend.
