(Sports Network) - Top-seeded Caroline Wozniacki of Denmark highlighted Tuesday's first-round winners at the $175,000 Japan Open Tennis Championships.
Wozniacki rallied to top Argentina's Gisela Dulko in three sets, 4-6, 6-0, 6-3.
Sixth-seeded Shahar Peer of Israel and No. 8 Aleksandra Wozniak of Canada also moved on. Peer routed Kimiko Date Krumm of Japan, 6-3, 6-1, and Wozniak took a hard-found three-set victory over American Jill Craybas, 7-5, 6-7 (2-7), 6-3.

Kimiko Date, the former world No. 4, was appearing in her WTA tour match in 12 years.
The biggest upset of the say saw fourth-seeded Russian Maria Kirilenko trip at the hands of Klara Zakopalova of the Czech Republic, 4-6, 6-2, 7-5.
Other winners included Japanese fan favorites Ryoko Fuda and Rika Fujiwara along with Jarmila Gajdosova of Slovakia, Frenchwoman Camille Pin and Belgian Yanina Wickmayer.
France's Virginie Razzano stunned American star Venus Williams in last year's finale here.
The 2008 Japan Open champion will collect $28,000.
