A Bethesda teenager facing explosives and firearms charges has been indicted in an attempted carjacking at White Flint Mall. Police say 18-year-old Collin McKenzie-Gude walked up to a 78-year-old man in a parking garage near Bloomingdale's in July and demanded the man's keys. When the man refused, police say McKenzie-Gude knocked the man to the ground and repeatedly struck him to keep him down. The incident occurred near the time when the teen was being investigated. Police later said they found a map of Camp David and a presidential motorcade route when they arrested McKenzie-Gude. Defense attorney Steven Kupferberg says the teen is innocent. He said the map of Camp David was a rough Google map. McKenzie-Gude is being held in the Montgomery County (web|news) jail. With the carjacking indictment, the case moves to Montgomery County Circuit Court from the district court. Information from: The Washington Post
