(Sports Network) - Nicky Cook registered a unanimous decision victory over Alex Arthur to gain the WBO super featherweight title at M.E.N. Arena on Saturday.
Cook (29-1, 16 KOs), the plucky 28-year-old with an aggressive strategy, won the clash with scores of 117-112, 117-111 and 115-114 over his 30-year-old opponent who dropped to 26-2.
In other action in Manchester, Colombian Breidis Prescott (20-0, 18 KO) sent Amir Khan (18-1, 14 KO) to the canvas just 54 seconds into their WBO inter- continental lightweight bout.
