A spokeswoman at Baltimore Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport says no one was injured when a small plane skidded off a runway during takeoff.
Spokeswoman Cheryl Stewart says that Cessna 441 was departing from a general aviation runway when it skidded into a grassy area about 12:35 p.m. Wednesday; four people were on the plane. Fire and rescue crews responded, but Stewart says there was no fire. Stewart says the incident is not disrupting commercial passenger service at the airport.
NewsChopper 7 was on the scene where fire officials appeared to be putting out a small fire.
