Fierce flames ripped through a haunted house attraction on the grounds of Six Flags America in Largo, according to Prince George's County Fire officials.

Flames broke out around 7 p.m. at the park in the 13700 block of Central Avenue. A Six Flags America spokesperson says the area near the building was immediately evacuated when the fire broke out. Shortly later, the entire park was closed.

Prince George's Fire Department spokesman Mark Brady says the attraction is only open during the Halloween season, so no customers are in danger. The Six Flags spokesperson says no other rides were damaged. The building started to collapse and all firefighters were evacuated.

Fire officials said it took 60 firefighters about 45 minutes to get the fire under control. They said the tin building appears to be a complete loss.

Hovering above the park, NewsChopper 7 shows people waiting in the parking lot after the park closed. The extensive damage done to the building can also be seen from above.

No injures were reported. It's not clear what started the fire and no damage estimates were available. The park is expected to open Thursday on time.
