Rescuers had to use a crane Monday morning to lower an injured construction worker to an ambulance after he fell about 15 feet and injured his ankle.
D.C. fire department spokesman Alan Etter says the accident happened at 20th and K Streets at about 7:30 a.m. He says the man was conscious and alert as rescuers lowered him from the 9th floor.
Etter says the man is in stable condition.
