Reports of gunfire Wednesday led to the arrest of five suspects in Fairfax County (web|news) .

Police were called to the Lincolnia-area of Fairfax shortly before 6 a.m. for a report of shots being fired. Police were able to arrest three of the suspects at this location. Police learned that a fight had taken place between several people and an assault-style weapon was fired.

An investigation led officers to a home in Alexandria (web|news) where an AK-47 assault rifle was seized. Police arrested  two more individuals at this location.

Marcos Benavides, 18, of Arlington, Kevin Yarborough, 20, of Alexandria and James Johnson, 25, of Woodbridge were all charged with drunk in public.

John Anthony Palacios, 18,  and Gustavo Adolfo Palacios, 20, both of Alexandria, are  charged with felonies. Anthony Palacios was charged with distribution of marijuana and child neglect.  Adolfo Palacios was charged with discharging a firearm, manufacture and distribution of marijuana, possession of a firearm while possessing illegal drugs, concealed weapon and child neglect. The child neglect charges stem from the storage of the assault rifle in a child's bedroom.
