District of Columbia police say another man who was injured while riding on the open-topped upper deck of a bus has died.
Police say 35-year-old Michael Feiock of Centreville died at a hospital Saturday. They also identified 24-year-old Joshua Stoll of Sterling, who died after the accident Friday night.
Authorities say the two men were either standing on the upper deck of the bus or standing on upper deck seats. The bus was traveling westbound on the Southeast Freeway and passed beneath the 11th Street overpass, which struck the mens' heads, causing severe injuries.
Police say Open Top Sightseeing, a private company operating locally in Tuxedo, Md., owns the bus. Officials say there were 16 people on board, but no other injuries were reported.
The bus is contracted by the Nationals to carry fans to Nationals Park from the parking lot at the team's old home, RFK Stadium. The service was implemented when the new ballpark opened this season because of a lack of sufficient parking spaces in the area. The Washington Nationals held a moment of silence Sunday for the two fans. Nationals president Stan Kasten said the team was "terribly saddened" by the accident. "Our thoughts and prayers go out to the families of all involved," Kasten said.
