Fairfax County (web|news) police have made an arrest in the murder of a woman whose body was found Friday morning on a sidewalk in Vienna, Virginia.
Ehsan Amin, 30, of Woodbridge was arrested Friday and charged with abduction and murder in the death of 25-year-old Homaira Rahman.
Police believe the two knew each other prior to the murder. "I wish we knew about this guy. What was going on in her future so we could help her," aunt Victoria Yaqub said. The victim's family said they didn't know Amin, only that he may have worked in a local Afghan restaurant.
The victim's uncle said only now is the family finding out she was getting death threats. "She received a text message from the man saying that I will kill you," uncle Faruq Achikzad.
Along with her stunning looks, Rahman's success in corporate human resources, a perfect profession say those who loved her, matched her giving spirit and desire to help those in need.
"Just a lovely girl. So full of life, full of life," friend Salma Nawabi said.
One of her last postings on her web page at on-line social network Facebook said, "Appreciate every moment and take from it everything you possibly can, for you may never be able to experience it again."
The woman's murder shocked the quiet community. "It's a very safe neighborhood, very quiet back here. Some police officers told me they even had trouble finding the street, because they don't know it," said resident Dennis McAuliffe.
Police say someone walking in the neighborhood found Rahman's body on Malraux Drive, near the W&OD Trail, around 6:30 a.m. Friday. Officials said there was apparent trauma to the upper body.
