The FBI (web) says two bank robbers known by authorities as the "Interstate Bandits" have struck in Raleigh, where they jumped a counter and grabbed money from cash drawers.
The FBI said Thursday the pair is believed responsible for seven other robberies at banks along interstate highways in North Carolina, Alabama, Tennessee and Virginia. The first robbery was in May.
FBI spokeswoman Amy Thoreson said the men shoved people during Thursday's robbery at First Citizens Bank on Capital Boulevard, but no one was injured. The amount of money taken wasn't released.
Agents said the men are becoming more violent each time they hit a bank.
