(Sports Network) - The Washington Mystics signed guard Crystal Smith and released center Lindsay Taylor on Wednesday. Smith is entering her third year in the league out of the University of Iowa, averaging 4.6 points and 1.9 assists per game for her career.
The Mystics are Smith's fourth team in three seasons. She played 22 games for the Phoenix Mercury in 2006 and 27 games for the Houston Comets in 2007 as the starting point guard before beginning the 2008 season with the Minnesota Lynx and playing in one game.

Taylor has not appeared in a game since playing for Phoenix in 2004.
