D.C. firefighters rescued three people from a fire at an apartment building in northwest Washington.
D.C. fire department spokesman Alan Etter says firefighters were called to a three-story building on the 3800 block of Newark Street on Thursday night.
Etter says firefighters used ladders to rescue three people from the third floor of the building.
He says the fire started on the ground level, and that its cause is under investigation.
Etter says no injuries were reported.
