A volunteer firefighter has been charged with two counts of arson on suspicion of setting fires in Montgomery County (web|news) .
Fire officials say both fires occurred in Montgomery Village. They say one was set under the deck of a townhouse and the other in a shed on a golf course.
Nineteen-year-old Thomas Walter, of the Gaithersburg-Washington Grove Volunteer Fire Department, is charged with first- and second-degree arson and reckless endangerment.
Walter is suspected of setting the blaze at the golf course in March. He was questioned after that fire, and was charged after the fire under the deck Tuesday night.
