(Sports Network) - Sergio Garcia collected the biggest win of his career on Sunday in a playoff at The Players Championship. It moved him back into the top 10 of this week's Official World Golf Rankings. Garcia, who parred the famous 17th at the TPC at Sawgrass to defeat Paul Goydos in the playoff, jumped up eight to No. 10 this week. It was his first victory on the PGA Tour since the summer of 2005.

Tiger Woods, still recovering from knee surgery, stayed in first. Phil Mickelson, who was trying to become the first player to successfully defend his title at The Players Championship, held on to second.

NewsChannel 8 myTAKE - What's Your Opinion? Ernie Els tied for sixth Sunday and moved up one to third. Adam Scott fell to fourth, followed by Steve Stricker, Geoff Ogilvy, Jim Furyk, K.J. Choi and Vijay Singh.

Garcia came in 10th, which knocked several people down the rankings this week.

Justin Rose and Padraig Harrington each fell one to 11th and 12th, respectively. Henrik Stenson and Rory Sabbatini switched places with the Swede going to 13th and Sabbatini falling to 14th.

Stewart Cink sank three to 15th, while Masters champion Trevor Immelman, who withdrew from The Players with an illness, last week's Wachovia Championship winner Anthony Kim and Aaron Baddeley all fell one to accommodate Garcia's ascent.

Luke Donald and Lee Westwood once again rounded out the top 20.

Goydos' runner-up finish jumped him all the way to 59th in the world.
