Man Charged in Metro Station Car Thefts

Metro Transit police have charged an Alexandria (web|news) man with stealing cars from Metro parking lots and garages.
Police say 20-year-old Brian Leonard Senia is also under investigation for similar thefts elsewhere in the region.
Senia was arrested on Friday after they say he stole three vehicles owned by Zipcar, a carsharing program, from Metrorail station parking lots in Alexandria and Fairfax County (web|news) . Police say Senia went joyriding with friends before abandoning the vehicles.
Police say when Senia was arrested, he was out on bond awaiting trial on a previous charge of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle in Alexandria.
