bobesox,

TVC15 is right.

I was also amazed at how fast a suspect was apprehended in this case, but caseloads and cooperation are huge factors in solving crimes. Maybe this piece of crap was caught using the victim's credit card. I heard about the woman in Oxon Hill and her life is as significant as anyone else's, but the circumstances surrounding here death are "suspicious" and her baby's daddy isn't providing much assistance to the authorities. I hope they apprehend whoever is responsible for her murder as well.

Pachacutec, you don't know how often I see that on the news the family saying "he's a good boy" but he has a gun and kills someone. Glad I didn't grow up with those family morals. He commits all those crimes and the judge lets him out, we REALLY need to get rid of these judges..look at that poor lady who's husband drown his children, after the wife pleaded with the judges not to let him see the children. And there have been so many more cases where they have let people go who really need to be put behind bars or in the electric chair. Lindsay never hurt anyone, if he doesn't get put away forever or the electric chair, then the citizens need to take matters in their own hands, he better sleep with one eye open.

I'm so very happy someone has been caught, I've prayed that day and night for this because I could not sleep, my heart was aching for this beautiful human that someone with no regard for life just took her away.My heart just hurt for her family and friends. I THANK God and our law enforcement for an excellent job. GOD BLESS!!!

I would attribute that to two things,

a. the volume of murders / number of cases for the cops to work on b. Cooperation of local residents with the police.

Have you ever noticed that some crimes are solved and others given little or no effort. A mother in Oxon Hill was murdered around the same time. she was given much less media attention and of course her assailant has not been apprehended

Luxor, perhaps the Gov. of Maryland doesn't like the death penalty, but I've lived here in Maryland most of my life and I say the death penalty should be used more often. This incident is a case in point - there's far too many hardcore criminals being let back out on the streets! Even if they're caught and tried for first degree murder, the odds of anything like the death penalty or even life in prison are very slim. Ever since our society started this nonsense of treating criminals as victims, you'll notice that our crime rate has gone sky-high. And since I can think of lots of better uses for my tax dollars than to feed and house murderers, I say we should not only KEEP the death penalty, but actually USE it.

Alas, Marylanders do not like the death penalty. Somewhat similar to the current Governor of Virginia.

What a low-life piece of garbage.

OK, one question - if this guy had so many priors, why on earth was he even out on the street? I hope the judge who let him go can live with himself. And I feel SO badly for that poor woman - having to die in such a manner just because some --- --- piece of garbage didn't want to make an honest living, but wanted to steal from others. Too bad the police didn't shoot him on sight when they caught him, isn't it? Now I guess we'll see his family on TV saying that he's really a nice guy, takes his granny to church on Sunday, and blah, blah....

He use to live right in the area where Lindsey was murdered. In 1999 he was charged with 5 counts of Armed Robbery, 1 count of Attempted Armed Robbery, 3 counts of 1st Degree Assault, and 2 counts of Attempted 1st Degree Murder. For these crimes he received Three (3) consecutive Twenty (20) year sentences, for a total of 60 years incarceration. Yet in 2004 Judge Durke Thompson of the Montgomery County Circuit Court approved Hendersons request for a modification of sentencing allowing this VIOLENT OFFENDER to murder an innocent young woman.

Oh I am so glad they got him - just wish he had never been allowed out of jail and then she would still be alive. What a mean, ornery, useless piece of trash he is. I am just so sorry for her family and friends. Please, please people be careful, try not to be alone coming and going after dark. Good job detectives.

Again, a useless person ( thug ) removes a useful person ( DNA Analyst helping soldiers families ) from the planet.

Over a few dollars.

Progress.
