Washington Nationals have announced that closer Chad Cordero is expected to make a relief appearance Wednesday night for Class-A Potomac. Cordero’s outing comes one night after Washington pitcher Shawn Hill threw five scoreless innings against Myrtle Beach in a rehab start. The 26-year-old Cordero was placed on the 15-day disabled list in March because of right shoulder tendonitis. After two consecutive bullpen sessions this past week in which he felt pain free, the right-hander will be limited to throwing one inning. Cordero has not pitched in a game since Spring Training and hopes to return to Washington on April 11th.
