Runners gathered by the thousands in Washington, D.C. on Sunday for the 36th annual cherry blossom run.
Waves of runners, joggers, and speed walkers numbering over 12 thousand ran ten miles through Washington to help raise money for the Credit Union for Kids charity.
Sue Neelin came down from upstate New York with her husband to run.
"I'm the type of runner who likes to look around where I run. So I like to see the monuments and the sights when I'm running," said Neelin.
Proceeds from the run benefit the Children's Miracle Network, an international non-profit organization dedicated to helping children by raising funds and awareness for 170 Children's Hospitals throughout North America.
