Body Found in C&O Canal

D.C. police are investigating the death of a woman whose body was found in the C & O Canal.
Police say the body of 76-year-old Joanne Robinson of Bethesda was found shortly after 6 p.m. Wednesday near the Chain Bridge and Canal Road, NW.
Police divers recovered the body and emergency medical personnel found no signs of life. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
The medical examiner is working to determine the cause of death.
