Why is WJLA giving this guy publicity for engaging in an illegal activity? He's LUCKY he survived. Just watch, once he's out in a month or so he'll be right back there. You can't change stupid (thanks to Ron White!).

This is insane. It kinda reminds me of the Darwin Award types who willingly climb into a tiger's cage, then they (or their next of kin) blame the tiger for resulting injuries. And, as another poster mentioned on another thread, what about the racers speeding away well over the limit? What if there had been cars or people in their way? Oh, but that's okay, because they were invited to the party, I guess. Give me a break. Personal responsibility needs to come back into fashion.

Kerry
You want to hold the driver responsible? YOU WERE BREAKING THE LAW!!!!!!!! None of this would have happened if YOU WEREN'T BREAKING THE LAW!!!!!!!! All of you need to get a grip. YOU are responsible for your injuries. YOU are responsible for the deaths. YOU are responsible and part of the problem because you perpetuate ILLEGAL BEHAVIOR. Everyone knows there will be a race, everyone rushes to get the cars on the trucks so the cops don't catch them. Are you kidding me? The driver should be charged for driving on a suspended license. That's it. The rest of you need to suck it up and take responsibility for your own actions instead of once again blaming everyone but yourselves. How much do you want to bet these fools will be out racing again? Better odds than winning the lottery!

beh
You are absolutely correct Remy every body is to blame. Simms says lets hold the driver of the crown victoria accountable well that could of been anyone coming from the Bryans road area that hit them people. First of all yeah the driver of the crown victoria shouldn"t of been driving but when some one can give me a good explaination on why idiots would want to stand in the middle of the road especially on a highway that is dark with no street lights is beyond me. The people that was racing should also be charged. The people watching should charged as spectators and the parents who had their young kids out there on the highway watching should have charges brought against them for child endangerment. with parents like this people want to know why kids get in trouble. So yeah every one that was there should be held accountable.

there should a picture of this guy getting fined for being involved in a crime that resulted in the death of others. What a loser. I wonder who he blames for his crimes? I'm sure he isn't taking responsibility for his own actions. I'd like to see him orange overalls. I bet he is upset because after the race he had a dog fight to go to.

I lost my 64 year old mother and 92 year old grandmother to drag racers. Killed them on my grandmother;s street 5 houses from her's. Yes they were in a car on their way home from Bingo when they were hit. The other drivers were not hurt. These two ladies were the heart of our large family. A family now broken that has never been the same. This was a life chaning event for us all. We know it was an accident and no one set out to kill anyone. Blame we wanted to, forgive we needed to, so we did.

Remy
People want to blame someone for this and unfortunately, i think they are all to blame. The driver shouldn't have been driving on suspended license and the bystanders shouldn't have been standing in the middle of the road. The only thing we all can grasp from this is let this be a reminder. yes, it is unfortunate that this accident happened but it did.

SpareMe
Jack...I totally agree with you.

JackRabbit
Hold the Crown Vic accountable??? Are you kidding me? I guess there is nothing wrong with racing, or standing in the middle of Rt 210 at 3 A.M. Go to the tracks if you want to race. People are ridiculous!

COMMON-SENSE
"Retained a high profile attorney'. What kind of reporting is that? Does this attorney have a name? Its really too bad attorneys can't be charged with obstruction of justice. I wonder if he has a suspended license also.
