Work Begins on Second Part of ICC

Work has now been approved for the second segment of the Intercounty Connector.
The Maryland state highway administration has approved the start of phase two of five. Phase two covers constructing four miles of the roadway from Route 29 to east of Interstate 95, including the interchanges to both thoroughfares.
This phase also includes two miles of auxiliary lanes along I-95.
The first seven-mile segment of the ICC is scheduled to be complete by early 2011.
