As flamboant as the members at GMC are...there is nothing hidden there...nothing at all. This person is a down right nosey rosey. What I am doing it not going to get you to heaven. Maybe these women need to start checking their husbands hole. If something is stank in your marriage it is up to you to protect youself. Either make him strap it up or just don't sleep with him.

Spare Me......the down low brotha I am referring to is the married black man. How man women you know married will wear a condom to be with her own husband? It's about time things kept hidden within the black community is brought to the light.

It always amazes me how the church classifies sin (transgressions). 1st Degree, 2nd Degree, 3rd Degree like the law does. Being gay is a worse that a person can be according to church folks, then getting pregnant without being married is the second on the top ten worse things that a Christian can do.

We don't bother the liars, the cheaters, the wife beaters, the gossippers, the whoremongers, the folks that cheat on their taxes, the folks that don't pay their tithes, the folks that talk about the pastor. All of it is sin, and unrighteousness. Being gay is not the worse thing that a person can be. For some of them their sexuality was identified for them (they were raped, molested, tricked, trapped and fooled into having sex with the same sex) So we make them a victim again at church. The church is suppose to be a house of refuge (a safe place)At Greater Mt. Calvary, yes, there is a high populus of gay men. Church (including Greater Mt. Calvary) is suppose to be a hospital. Everyone is sick from something, and need to be healed. Some of hide our sickness a little better than others. The girl that sent the email is wrong for exposing the persons she exposed. Since she was so close to it and had so much information, just maybe she is gay as well. It is amazing how folks will expose themselves to expose someone else. The bible says its a sin to cause the shed of innocent blood. There were some innocent folks slaughtered here. When the gay folks at Calvary die and have to be barried an have no insurance and their families turn their backs on them. Bishop unreluctantly goes into his personal finances to funeralize them....so be careful putting your mouths on the man and woman of God. They paid a price to do what they are doing!

I've known about this for years. The choir sang at my church one time in the 90' and my Pastor never EVER invited them back. There may have been "down low" men in the choir but they were very flamboyant. It was embarrassing!

No one told women to sleep with men unprotected. HIV/AIDS has been on this earth for 20+ years if folks haven't edcuated themselves on how to protect themselves..you can't blame the next person.

This person went about this COMPLETELY WRONG. It isn't his or her business what folks do - she isn't going to heaven on their coat tail. I think this person was right on the money with her email! There are too many "BROTHAS" on the down low and it is the leading cause of death within the black female population. I bet this woman found out that her man was seeing a few of these guys and decided to spread the word to protect others. If it was me, I would have slipped a note in the Sunday announcements! Everyone knows that the choir director and piano players are usually gay men. This is nothing new within the black church and it was finally brought to the front. Lawd, I would have loved to be in that church the following Sunday!

Seems odd to me that a (black) community that has presumably suffered a great deal of bigotry from the public and society-at-large would choose to vigorously discriminate against others.

At what point did Jesus berate other people? When did Jesus forbid people from worshiping in the temple? Oh wait....does this church believe in the ministry of Jesus? Maybe not. My bad.

How dare those "assumed" and "alleged" sinners set foot in a church?

So - if gay people are participating in the church services - oooh la la. They should add some excitement to the church service.

Where is the tolerance? Who is willing to embrace diversity?

I really have to lol. Aren't you Church folks suppose to love one another, turn the other cheek, etc.... Now I have to wonder, after the Catholic scandal, if something similiar is not going on in this supposed house of God. If you're queer, come out so everybody knows. I'd want to know so I could keep my kids away from you. If you're hiding the fact, just makes me think your up to no good.

The person who sent the email went about it all wrong. Exposing people is not going to make them change at all. People think that when you walk into church you will be changed right then and there. Change is a process that takes time espically with a subject that no one knows any thing about. God will change people when he is good and ready to. Don't come to church looking for a husband or a wife. To the male that sent that letter, because it was not a female get a life. Learn to love yourself so you won't be rejected by others. Stop rejecting yourself and grow up.

With all due respect to the members of G.M.C..I must ask WHATS NEW. This church has been a haven for homosexuals for yearssssssss.... mean yearssss. This isn't shocking nor news. I remember years ago it was said the pastor was gay and so was his wife...and if anyone knows their son (adopted now grown)..he ain't too manly either. Why is this lady taking time out of her life to write this letter...oh my bad, she has no life. Last time I knew your church home was your option..if you don't like what is going on in the pews...it is simple LEAVE. There are plenty chruches out there to select from. She is not handcuffed to this one.

In addition if she is speaking on sins...who is she to judge and put folks sins in the news. Never have I read in that man written Bible that you go to Heaven on someone elses coat tail. She is blocking her blessing entertaining this mess and staying in this mess of a church.
