WASHINGTON - Metropolitan Police officials report at least five people have been shot in a series of serious shootings in Southeast D.C. Friday night.
The latest victim is a male who was shot around 9:00 p.m. in the 3500 block of 7th Street Southeast. Homicide detectives have been called to the scene.
Police say at least two male victims were shot around 8:00 p.m. in the 500 block of Oakwood Street Southeast. Both victims were transported to area hospitals.
Police also report a male teen was shot in the leg around 5:00 p.m. in the 1800 block of Alabama Avenue Southeast. The victim was transported to an area hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
