(Sports Network) - The Los Angeles Clippers acquired center Cheikh Samb and cash considerations Monday from the Denver Nuggets, in exchange for a future conditional second round pick.
Samb, who Denver acquired from Detroit earlier in the year in the Chauncey Billups-Allen Iverson trade, averaged 12.4 points, 7.1 rebounds and 3.8 blocks in 10 games with the Colorado 14ers of the NBA Development League.
He played in six games with the Nuggets, averaging 0.7 points and 1.5 rebounds.
The Clippers also waived forward Paul Davis and guard Fred Jones. Davis averaged 2.7 points and 2.0 rebounds in 80 career games in LA, while Jones appeared in five games with the team after signing on December 28 and averaged 6.6 points and 1.4 assists.
